At Elections Ontario, we are committed to maintaining public trust in the electoral process and ensuring electors have the information they need to participate confidently. To support this commitment, we partner with Léger, a Canadian research firm, to conduct surveys that measure public trust in Ontario's electoral process and evaluate the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns.

The field research will run from August 26 to September 03, 2026, during the Scarborough Southwest and York—Simcoe by-elections.

Elections Ontario will conduct short, voluntary interviews with electors after they vote at selected voting locations to better understand their voting experience and identify opportunities to strengthen voter trust and confidence in Ontario’s electoral process.
