Outreach
Elections Ontario is committed to making voting easy and accessible for all electors. Our outreach team works with organizations across the province, attends community events and provides educational material to ensure eligible electors understand the voting process in Ontario.
Once an Ontario provincial general election, by-election or referendum has been called, community organizations and our newsletter subscribers receive outreach kits and other materials to share with their members and stakeholders.
By removing barriers to voting, electors will have information about when, where and how to vote. Some of the groups we work with include:
- electors with accessibility needs
- incarcerated electors
- Indigenous electors
- new Canadians
- shelters, food banks and community health care facilities
Our outreach team also creates and shares educational resources including curriculum resources for Grade 5 Social Studies and Grade 10 Civics and Citizenship classes. All materials are available free of cost and can be ordered through our resource order form.
