Elections Ontario is conducting a province-wide recruitment for Returning Officers and Election Clerks positions in preparation for the next General Election to be held in 2018.
When a provincial general election or by-election is called, poll officials are hired to work in polls during advance voting and on election day. During a general election, poll officials are hired to work in electoral districts across the province. During a by-election, poll officials are hired to work in a specific electoral district.
Once a provincial election or by-election has been called, information about working in an election will be posted to this page, along with job descriptions for poll official positions and a link to our online job application.
