Elections Ontario is committed to fostering a positive, safe and supportive work environment that is inclusive, healthy, accessible, and is free from discrimination, harassment and workplace violence.
Our recruitment process reflects our mission to serve the public interest and uphold public trust. It demonstrates our commitment to our values of trust, fairness, excellence, creativity, collaboration, efficiency and responsiveness.
Elections Ontario strives to be a model of public service excellence and is looking for people who share these values.
Our human resources team supports staff at Elections Ontario locations in the areas of recruitment and selection, learning and development, staff relations and counselling, policy development, compensation and benefits.
We support staff at returning offices and voting locations with staff relations and counseling, and provide interpretation and advice in relation to our Mutual Respect in the Workplace Policy, and Code of Conduct, Conduct and Accountability Key Directive.
While human resources offers guidance on employing staff at returning offices and voting locations, staff that work during an election are hired when an election is called.
