How To Vote By Special Ballot

In Ontario, eligible electors are able to vote in a number of ways, including by special ballot, at advance polls and on election day. If you are unable to vote at an advance voting location or on election day, are temporarily living outside of Ontario, or require assistance voting, you may be eligible to vote by special ballot.

To vote by special ballot, you will need to complete an application form and provide one piece of identification that includes both your name and residential address. Special ballot application forms become available once a provincial general election or by-election has been called.
