2016 Whitby—Oshawa By-election – Third Party Reports - TPAR-1

Under section 37.12 (1) of the Election Finances Act, the chief financial officer of every registered third party shall file a third party election advertising report within six (6) months after polling day.

 

*Polling day for this by-election was February 11, 2016. Where writs for a general election are issued during a campaign period relating to a by-election, the campaign period relating to such by-election shall, for the purposes of subsection (1), be deemed to have terminated on the day before the day the writs for the general election were issued and the financial statements referred to in subsection (1) shall be filed with the Chief Electoral Officer within three months after the deemed termination of the campaign period. R.S.O. 1990, c. E.7, s. 42 (3); 1998, c. 9, s. 79; 2007, c. 15, s. 40 (1). The Chief Electoral Officer will accept as on time financial statements postmarked or courier receipted on or before August 11, 2016.
