How can I Vote?

Here are the steps leading up to the day you vote:

  • Shortly after an election is called, you should receive a Notice of Registration card in the mail if you are qualified to vote and your name is on the Permanent Register of Electors. (Take your card with you when you go to vote.)
  • For those who don’t receive a card, no problem. This does not deny your right to vote. Simply go to the Voters List to learn about your options.
  • If you can’t make it on election day, perhaps you would be interested in learning more about advance polls.
  • If you are unable to cast your vote for other reasons, you may want to vote by proxy.
  • You may also confirm whether you are on the list by completing the online verification.

While there are a number of different circumstances that will dictate when and where you vote, the process of how a vote is cast remains the same.
