The Election Finances Act requires that all registered political entities file annual audited financial statements by May 31st of the following year and audited campaign financial statements within 6 months of polling day. The Filing status page shows the date these statements were filed.
Financial Statements
These financial statements show Assets and Liabilities (annually) in addition to Income and Expenses of a campaign. Contributor (donor) information is also recorded for aggregate contributions greater than $100.
Real Time Disclosure of Contributions (RTD)
In addition to disclosure requirements for contributions with financial statements, Political Parties and Leadership Contestants are required to disclose aggregate political contributions in excess of $100 from a single source with the Chief Electoral Officer within ten business days after the contribution is deposited. The Chief Electoral Officer in turn must publish the information on the Elections Ontario Web site within ten business days of receiving the report.
