One Day Left to Apply to Vote by Mail or to Vote at Advance Polls

TORONTO – Only one day remains for voters to cast their ballot at more than 480 advance voting locations across Ontario. All eligible electors who are interested in voting early are encouraged to visit wemakevotingeasy.ca to find out where to vote.

Elections Ontario would like to remind voters that September 30 at 6 p.m. (ET) is also the last day to submit an application to vote by mail. Applications can be downloaded from wemakevotingeasy.ca or completed at local returning offices. Applications must be accompanied by a photocopy of a piece of ID that includes name and residential address. Applications can be emailed, faxed, couriered or returned in person to local returning offices or to Elections Ontario.

Electors can continue to vote in person at Returning Offices and Satellite Offices using the assistive voting technology or by Special Ballot until October 5 at 6 p.m. (ET)

“Whether you choose to vote at an advance poll or on election day, bringing your Notice of Registration Card and one piece of identification that includes both name and residential address will help us to ensure that your voting experience is easy and efficient” said Greg Essensa, Ontario’s Chief Electoral Officer.

Voters can also be added to the Voters List when they go to vote at advance polls or on election day. We encourage voters to visit wemakevotingeasy.ca for a comprehensive list of acceptable identification documents.

Elections Ontario is the non-partisan agency responsible for administering provincial elections, by-elections and referenda.
