Elections Canada and Elections Ontario
jointly introduce a voting education program for students


Toronto – The Chief Electoral Officer of Canada, Marc Mayrand, and Chief Electoral Officer of Ontario, Greg Essensa, will unveil a new civic education pilot program at the awards ceremony of the Ontario Model Parliament. Over 200 students—future electors—from across Ontario will be asked to make a commitment to vote when they turn 18.
