TORONTO – May 4, 2004 – Elections Ontario is reminding qualified electors for the Hamilton East by-election who are unable to vote on election day, May 13, that advance poll opportunities continue this week until Friday.
Advance poll voting began last Saturday in the Hamilton East returning office, and starting tomorrow, Wednesday, May 5, voters may visit additional Area Advance Polls.
Area Advance Polls will be open 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. from Wednesday, May 5 to Friday May 7 at:
- Rosedale Arena, 100 Greenhill Avenue, Hamilton
- Norman Pinky Lewis Recreation Centre, 192 Wentworth Street North, Hamilton
- Riverdale Community Centre, 150 Violet Drive, Hamilton
Advance Polls also continue at the returning office from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. up until this Friday, May 7:

Qualified electors who did not receive a Notice of Registration card and have not added their names to the Voters List may apply for a Certificate to Vote at any advance poll and cast their ballot while there.
To be eligible to vote, on polling day a person must be:
- 18 years of age or older,
- a Canadian citizen, and
- a resident of the Electoral District of Hamilton East.
